The 2010 Flood Clean Up

After the Nor'easter in March of 2010 came through Central Jersey, Bound Brook's downtown Main Street was left under water once again.  This was the forth time in 11 years.  South Bound Brook Fire Department, along with MANY other Fire Departments from across the state, were there to help the citizens and shop owners of Bound Brook remove countless gallons of storm water from basements in the downtown area.

Monday March 15th (the day after the storm ended) was a day where the weather was still not very favorable.
It rained most of the day and was just cold enough to make working in it miserable.

The "big" equipment arrives and starts picking up some water damaged items

Finding shelter from the weather any where we could

Take note of the flag on the pole "Welcome to Bound Brook"

Day two of the project brings much nicer weather.  Everyone's spirits get a little more positive.

This picture was taken through a window of a basement that had been flooded and was being pumped out,
It goes to show that no matter what happens our flag will always wave
